Obituary of James Dahlke
James V. “Jim” Dahlke,
Age 81, of Mosinee, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 16, 2018 at his residence.
Jim was born December 23, 1936 in Wausau, son of Victor and Joan (Berg) Dahlke. He attended St. Roberts Catholic School in Halder and graduated from Mosinee High School in 1954. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp Pendleton, California, for three years. After being honorably discharged, he worked at American Motors in Kenosha, St. John’s Catholic Church in Edgar and Wausau Homes.
In his younger years, he loved playing baseball for the Halder and Mosinee teams and was also a very good bowler. Jim was a humble sort of guy with a sense of humor and had many friends, many of whom have passed away. He surely will be missed.
Survivors include his brothers: Robert (Judy) Dahlke of Halder, Donald (Shirley) Dahlke of Halder and Richard (Mary) Dahlke of Canton, MI; his sister Mary (Terry) Bloom of Wausau and 11 nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass will be held at 11AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Halder. Visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service at the church.
